Due to poor living conditions that characterize most of the villages in Romania, one of the biggest needs is that of medical services. The Medical Caravan serves elderly people, children and families from remote and poor villages where no medical service exists. Medical assistance provided by the volunteer doctors, nurses, and medical students, both from Romania and internationally brings significant positive changes in the lives of many. We identify various health conditions and provide proper guidance in taking the right steps toward a cure.
When a patient arrives to the site, they receive blood pressure and blood sugar testing, eye exams, light dental treatment, medical advice and counseling, basic sanitary education, free over-the-counter medication. Perhaps the greatest benefit is the opportunity for volunteers to proclaim the Gospel, both through words and actions.
In-kind or monetary donations for medications are requested in addition to the basic cost, so that the Medical Caravan is well stocked to meet the needs of the patients. Contact us at: info@ElpisFoundation.org to discuss the costs and types of medications needed.
For each caravan donation, which serves an average of 100 people, you can make a difference in the lives of an entire community. This difference can increase the life quality and expectancy of a child or a family.
